I have very fond memories of my Uncle John Rourke. To me he was a fun, friendly and warm person. He was always welcoming and saw life very much as something to be enjoyed not endured. He was engaging and charismatic and always had tales to tell of his work and places he had been to with Auntie Gudrun. I remember parties at their house with our cousins, full of food, fun and friends. He was a big character in my childhood and I will always remember him with love and deep affection.
